9th Stop: Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico. Flagpole Fiesta

Flat Lily checked in again on July 7th, this time from the Land of Enchantment- New Mexico. Flat Lily visited with our cousins, Joy and Michael, in the southwest village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.

Los Ranchos de Albuquerque was first inhabited by humans as early as 10,000 B.C. When European settlers arrived in the area in the 1540s there were already 12 pueblo communities.

Flat Lily and Joy admired the landscape and local architecture.

Then Michael hoisted Flat Lily up the pole of the New Mexico state flag.

Flat Lily went for a closer look. The New Mexico flag has the red sun symbol of the Zia people against a yellow background.

Thanks for showing Flat Lily around New Mexico, Joy and Michael!
We're excited to see where she shows up next.
